Projects We’re Working On!

Hydroponics Kit Distribution

For us, the hardest part of getting into hydroponics is the initial steps required. Whether it’s buying a water reservoir (could be a storage tote, mason jar, basin, bowl, etc.) or plant materials such as rockwool, clay pebbles, plant nutrients (containing ample amounts of Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium for a specified plant) and figuring out the nutrient concentrations needed for healthy plant growth, the learning curve can become arduous.

Therefore, through these kits, K-12 students can learn how they can too make their own hydroponics systems– and how it works! As a student-driven nonprofit, our goal is to flatten the learning curve for many students by allowing them to hands-on build their own hydroponics system. Kits have been distributed to families in the Woodbury/Syosset district, and is planning to expand as more demonstrations locally (at libraries) are held.

Automated Video Production (K-12)

As a team, we have published this resource for K-12 students in understanding how to automate video production using entirely Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Link: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1YcmUxqwde-1TBJIk6rZWw8hkyOt4f-BGXALrWQ2Q-i0/edit?usp=sharing.

This document will run you through every step in creating an educational video in mere minutes. Two example videos our team had made are linked to the right.

We are also extending our account services to all K-12 students interested. Feel free to send us an email at contact@futuregro.org to create your own videos without the prefaced expenses listed on the document (for API calls, editing software, as well as AI-powered engines such as MidJourney/StableDiffusion).
